Waste management in Central Eastern Europe has undergone massive change in the last 20 years. The factors were the collapse of Socialism, economic and administrative transformation as well as accessioni to the European Union. The project compares the policy tools in waste mangement chosen in the Czech Republic and Poland and their outcomes. Sustainable development with its economic, enviornemntal and social dimension are used as a framework for this analysis.
