I am currently conducting research on the External Evaluation Team for Healthy Respect (EETHR 2) project for the Medical Research Council in Scotland.

I presented my paper Kaliningrad, Moscow and Brussels: a Conflict of Priorities at the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies (BASEES, of which I am a member) annual conference in Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge in 2002.

My main area of academic research is contemporary Russian and Polish History.
